“Cut the Red Tape: The Art of a Gentrified Community” is a series of paintings by local artist Rodney King that celebrate the history, culture, and resilience of Seattle’s Central District while examining the impact of displacement and change. This exhibition is dedicated to the people and places that made the Central District home—and to ensuring their stories continue to be seen, remembered, and celebrated.

Opening September 11, 2026 during the Belltown Art Walk. Exhibit runs September 11 - October 3.
